Growth Engineer
Own the growth systems across ELA, Epic Prep, Rubric, and Playfit, connecting marketing, content, performance, CRM, SEO, and growth data through lightweight engineering from hypothesis to execution, measurement, and learning.
About Praxis
Praxis is an AI-native operating company that believes in every person's capacity to grow and builds better systems for learning. We create and operate ELA, Epic Prep, Rubric, and Playfit. In this role, you would join the Praxis HQ team. We do not offer a hybrid work arrangement.
What You’ll Do
- Map the customer journey across all four services from acquisition and consultation through enrollment, activation, usage, retention, referral, and revenue, identifying both service-specific constraints and company-wide opportunities.
- Use market, customer, competitive, search, and frontline data to set growth hypotheses and manage an experiment portfolio by expected impact, execution cost, and learning value.
- Own end-to-end content operations across blogs, guides, case studies, newsletters, social media, video, landing pages, and local campaigns, including research, messaging, copy, production, publishing, distribution, and repurposing.
- Manage targeting, creative, budgets, bidding, and landing experiences across Google, Naver, Meta, Kakao, and other paid channels, optimizing for consultation quality, enrollment, activation, retention, revenue, CAC, ROAS, and LTV, not lead volume alone.
- Design segments and behavioral triggers, then build CRM and lifecycle programs across email, SMS, Kakao, and in-product messaging with consent, frequency, exclusion, and performance rules.
- Own technical, content, and local SEO based on search intent and conversion potential, improving keyword coverage, content clusters, metadata, structured data, internal links, and indexation.
- Define the baseline, hypothesis, primary and guardrail metrics, instrumentation, and stopping criteria for every growth experiment, using A/B tests or holdouts when practical.
- Use SQL to analyze web, advertising, CRM, consultation, enrollment, usage, and payment data and build funnel, cohort, channel, and campaign dashboards.
- Standardize UTMs, campaign naming, event taxonomies, and conversion definitions while investigating missing data, duplicates, cross-device journeys, offline enrollment, and the limits of last-click attribution.
- Use APIs, webhooks, Python, JavaScript, SQL, and n8n to connect advertising, analytics, CRM, CMS, and consultation systems through lightweight ETL, reverse ETL, segmentation, and reporting automation.
- Add retries, deduplication, error alerts, manual recovery, execution logs, and shutdown procedures so automations can be operated by the team rather than remaining personal scripts.
- Use AI to automate customer and market research, content briefs, copy and creative variants, classification, campaign analysis, recurring reporting, and QA while validating facts, numbers, brand quality, privacy, and copyright.
- Interpret qualitative feedback from parents, students, members, teachers, coaches, and counselors alongside behavioral data, turning findings into product, curriculum, consultation, and operational improvements as well as campaigns.
- Capture experiment results and failures in data models, dashboards, templates, prompts, agents, and SOPs, while keeping core-product and production-data-platform reliability with Product Engineering.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, statistics, economics, computer science, industrial engineering, media, or a related field
- At least five years of full-time experience spanning multiple areas among growth, performance, CRM and lifecycle, content, marketing operations, and marketing engineering
- A track record of connecting marketing, content, performance, CRM, SEO, and experimentation through one funnel and measurement system, with direct execution and measurable results
- Evidence of improving conversion, activation, retention, revenue, or unit economics against a defined baseline, not merely increasing top-of-funnel volume
- The ability to turn customer problems and product value into precise Korean copy, content, and campaign briefs and own the work from first draft through publication and performance analysis
- Hands-on ability to structure and operate targeting, creative, budgets, bidding, and performance analysis across major paid platforms
- Experience designing segments, event triggers, lifecycle journeys, consent and frequency rules, exclusions, and measurement in CRM or marketing-automation platforms
- The ability to query and join multiple sources with SQL, perform funnel, cohort, retention, and campaign analysis, and build decision-ready dashboards
- Hands-on understanding of APIs, webhooks, JSON, and CSV, with ability in more than one of Python, JavaScript, and n8n to build lightweight ETL, integrations, scheduled jobs, and alerts
- Experience using AI as a multi-step workflow across research, production, classification, analysis, and QA, including evaluation criteria, human review, and failure handling
- The judgment to validate facts, sources, numbers, bias, and brand fit while complying with privacy, consent, security, copyright, likeness, licensing, and platform requirements
- The agency to turn ambiguous goals into a problem, hypothesis, metric, and execution plan, create the first working version yourself, and lead collaboration across design, product, engineering, and frontline operations
- A record of converting individual judgment and one-off campaigns into naming conventions, templates, dashboards, workflows, documentation, and training
Nice to Have
- Experience owning acquisition through retention for education, academy, fitness, membership, subscription, or multi-site services
- Experience operating both a local B2C service and a B2B or SaaS product with different conversion cycles and success metrics
- Experience implementing or debugging GA4, GTM, Search Console, advertising pixels, server-side events, and CRM integrations
- Familiarity with CDPs, data warehouses, dbt, and reverse ETL and experience defining data contracts with Product Engineers
- Ability to modify and ship landing pages or interactive content using HTML, CSS, basic JavaScript, or a CMS
- Experience scaling creative output with AI image, video, and copy tools while maintaining brand, copyright, and quality standards
- Ability to conduct research, write copy, interpret data, and produce collaboration documents in Korean and English
- Experience building a growth operating system from zero without established tools or processes
Hiring Process
- Application, portfolio, and review of two representative growth cases
- Growth-practice interview covering funnels, content, performance, CRM, SEO, attribution, and experimentation
- Scoped exercise using anonymized data and service context to propose analysis, an intervention, and a validation plan
- Live working session using an API, n8n, Python, JavaScript, or an AI workflow to build a small automation
- Frontline, cross-functional, and values interview
- Reference checks
- Compensation discussion informed by industry standards
