Praxis is an education company that believes in every person's capacity to grow and builds better systems for learning. We create and operate ELA, Epic Prep, Rubric, and Playfit. In this role, you would join the ELA team. We do not offer a hybrid work arrangement.

Curriculum, materials, assessment standards, and operating manuals are built and provided by our education team. Teaching on a proven system means more of your day goes to students than to preparation and paperwork.

What You’ll Do

• Teach Capstone and middle school classes in reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, written response, and exam application using the curriculum, materials, and assessment framework built by our education team.
• Connect close reading, evidence-based discussion, and writing so students learn to understand a text and express their own ideas precisely.
• Identify where each student loses the thread and adjust explanations, assignments, and problem application inside the lesson.
• Record observation, assessment, and feedback in the standard assessment framework and set the next learning goal for each student.
• Document student progress and next steps clearly in Korean and English and explain them to families and the responsible team.
• Take part in class observation, feedback, and instructor training, and bring recurring classroom problems back to the education team for curriculum improvement.
• Put student growth first in every judgment and follow all safeguarding and reporting procedures without exception.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year university
• A current TESOL, TEFL, CELTA, or comparable English-teaching credential
• At least five years of study and residence in an English-speaking country, with the ability to teach in English and collaborate professionally in Korean
• At least three years of English-teaching experience with upper-elementary or middle school students, with concrete evidence of learner growth
• The ability to teach authentic-text reading, discussion, essay writing, and evidence-based written responses
• The ability to connect grammar and vocabulary with reading, interpretation, sentence production, and exam application
• The care to identify where a student’s answer or writing breaks down and turn it into the next lesson plan
• The openness to treat observation and feedback as growth and to let colleagues into your classroom

Nice to Have

• A degree in English education, English literature, or education, or a teaching license
• Experience with authentic-text reading, writing, discussion, or debate classes
• Experience teaching middle school grammar, vocabulary, written responses, and school-exam preparation
• Experience reading learner records and diagnostic data and turning them into lesson plans
• Experience in an international school, an English-speaking school system, or a bilingual environment
