What You’ll Do
- Lead novel reading, writing, and discussion classes in English during agreed hours using the provided curriculum and teaching standards.
- Prepare each class and complete assignments, assessment, and feedback by the required deadlines.
- Record participation, understanding, and follow-up points accurately in Rubric after every class.
- Hand off student context clearly to the full-time English instructor and follow set procedures for absences, make-up classes, and basic parent questions.
- Put student safety and dignity first and follow all safeguarding and reporting procedures without exception.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year university
- A current TESOL, TEFL, CELTA, or comparable English-teaching credential
- At least eight years of study or residence in an English-speaking country
- Near-native English proficiency with accurate pronunciation, grammar, and writing
- Enough Korean proficiency for collaboration with colleagues and basic parent communication
- At least two years of English-teaching experience with children or adolescents
- A genuine commitment to children demonstrated through safety, respect, patience, and high expectations
- Reliable availability during the agreed teaching hours and the discipline to complete preparation and records on time
Nice to Have
- A degree in English education, English literature, education, or child development, or a teaching license
- Experience with novel-based reading, writing, discussion, or debate classes
- Experience in an international school, an English-speaking school system, or a bilingual education environment
- Experience with rubric-based assessment or parent consultations
